Baja hitchhiking

This is from a beach I slept on for a few days after flying off to Cabo for two weeks with neither a plan nor a hotel reservation. Conveniently, there was a restaurant on that beach, so we ate fresh seafood and drank pitchers of limeade every day.

I don’t have a point or any trite advice. But I will tell you that the time dilation is incredible when you’re on an unplanned adventure without any particular responsibilities. A day spent in front of a computer seems to dribble by like nothing at all. No excitement to anchor that day to your memory or to distinguish it from the one that came before or after. A day spent on a secluded beach or lost in a busy foreign city seems to spread out like an eternity, filled with unusual and memorable things.
