It is apparently news that babies like to put foreign objects in their mouths, edible or not.
That’s a Tide Pod, and to make this “news” ABC postulates that kids are mistaking them for candy. They’ve even contacted the parent company to demand satisfaction. The makers of Tide pods have agreed to sell them in child-safe containers, coming out this summer.
Is it really news that small children put everything in their mouths? What about when kids put keys in their mouths? What kind of candy does that look like? These angry parents who blame Tide are probably the same sorts of people who want (more) labels on Clear Care to warn them that hydrogen peroxide is no good for putting directly in the eye.
