since my previous post, a representative from lifecrowd contacted me and sounded very apologetic. she also sent me an email, to which i responded that to prevent confusion, all lifecrowd needed to do was update its FAQ page to give everyone a clear idea how hosts get paid and how much.

i have not heard back, and the site had not been updated.

today, i got an email from lifecrowd reminding me that i am signed up for an event. everyone else on that list was cc’d as well. yes, cc’d, not bcc’d. so i have a list of emails of everyone who signed up for this event. i would never have signed up if i had known that lifecrowd would be throwing our emails around with such little regard for privacy! if this upsets you, contact Laci White (laci@lifecrowd.com).
